Over the years of gear making i have acquired many odds and ends of fabric from gear i have made for myself and others. i recently made this quilted underquilt using these scraps and a few other things. The insulation i believe was 3.6oz climashield maybe 5oz i had pulled out of an old project that did not work as well as expected. I did the quilting by sewing the individual pieces onto a seperate piece of nylon.[AIMG]KIMG0590.jpg[/AIMG] Toward the end i started gluing them in place with a few dots of fabric glue, then sewing. this worked better as i could arrange a bunch of pieces then sew them all at once. After i got the quilt done iI thought i also needed a matching hammock so i decided to do a new one with a quilted bugnet. I had scraps of 5 different colored nets to mix. To do this i cut out a different bug net of the same size and laid it out on the floor. Then just kept covering it with my quilted net sewing together patches till i covered the pattern.KIMG0638 (1).jpg Then i decided i needed to make a quilted bag for my quilted quilt.KIMG0740.jpg finished projects KIMG0593.jpg KIMG0686.jpg KIMG0679.jpg KIMG0608.jpg
