What a beautiful area, looks like an awesome trip!
I really dig their sign posts that they use over there. Cool looking trail markers.
Great trip and photos!
Nice to know that in most places if we hike far enough we'll usually find some solitude. There are some similar bugs/flies in the Northeast... in the Adirondacks I got some bites on my neck that left big welts that took weeks to clear up.

Thanks! Uggh another week. I guess I should be thankful it bit where I’m covered.
The trail was well marked and I only made one wrong turn (totally my fault). The only exception being the bit at the end where you had to find your own way down the river and get past lots of blowndrown.
Wow. That's amazing. Definitely adding this to my bucket list. I have relatives in Japan but I've never been there. I'd probably skip visiting them and go there instead hah.
Can always try both! Give me a holler for any advice

Mountain views are good for the soul....& getting to them is good for my waistline.

Loved the pictures and trip report- thx for sharing!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.
