    I'm having back surgery on July 6. I've been wanting to go on a short hike to test out the results. If all goes well I should be rip roaring and ready to go for this one.

    WNC-John Rock, Pisgah National Forest 13-16 July

    Hopefully the bridge has been replaced. I was there in March and it was completely gone. I’ll try to get over there and check it out soon.

    I hope it's been replaced. I don't know if my legs & lungs will allow me to take the Phantom Grappler alternate approach to the camp!

    Yes I would like to know if that section has been replaced, no problem crossing when no rain, maybe one foot of water, but during a storm four feet of water.

    For all who don't know, this bridge is about 1/3 miles from the Trailhead. The easiest part of the hike, from that point you go up hill.
