I'm getting ready to make a netless 11' hammock from Monolight 1.5. Do most people cut the selvage off before doing the rolled hem on the sides or leave it on?

Was I supposed to cut it off? I didn't know.

On the advice of my wife, who has been sewing most of her life, I leave it and roll it into the hem.

Yeah, leave it on. Technically because it is a finished edge, you could just do a single roll. Either way, it is going to unravel less if you keep it on.
Thanks everyone.
Not that you need further affirmation, but I leave mine on when making my hammocks too.
