Pavel, once your basic tarp/hammock/TQ/UQ are kitted up, you may want to look at a TensaOutdoors Solo Pole. As you are not hiking, I think it would be fine packed on your bike (under the top tube?). That pole really opens up the camping possibilities as you no longer need to look for, "Two trees, 4 to 5 meters apart with nothing in between that would interfere with your tarp."

You do need to pay attention to your ground anchors, but it is so much easier to find one tree/support and use the Solo pole for the other. I have a Trip Report - with photos - about a circumnavigation of Orcas Island where I used the pole 3 out of 7 nights.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

Yes indeed. It fits nicely along side the top tube even w/ a full size frame bag. My ground stakes are under the down tube just behind the fork tube.

That is quite some creativity in your setup showing. I like it! I'm going to have to spend the next few weeks getting organized.

I always pack one of my Hilleberg tents, for tours, and then add my hammock as well on many trips. Though health reasons have kept me doing a lot less than I would have liked for the last ten years, my idea of a "ride" is at least a week - but three months are better. It's a good thing that planning and daydreaming are free and I've already got enough bicycle luggage and parts for four bikes. So I just need to get in shape again.

Just checked and hammock gear has 20% off today. I ordered an under and top quilt. Been perusing for a while and pulled the trigger for 10deg on both.

I love these pictures @LowTech ! Getting excited for some summer bikepacking trips, especially since I just picked up the Tensa Solo conversion kit.

This is a bit OT but where do you keep your water?

Thanks! I feel like I've taken this off-topic enough that I might be hearing from a mod soon.
If you're a donating member I have a trip report under the Bikepacking subforum on a short AZT trip, would be happy to talk bike packing stuff there so that we stay out of trouble and have the info available when someone goes looking in the future.

I'd be a donating member again, if there were some way to pay for it without having a Paypal account. I got rid of mine and am not planning to get another. I'd even send in a cheque and wait until it clears.
