No reason you couldn't, size isn't bad you'd just have to be ok w/ the weight.
I've looked at the two trekking pole stand that he rigged up and once my lady gets a webbing harness sewn up I'll start experimenting w/ that setup. I don't carry trekking poles (I know, primitive) but she does so it might be worth it for her.

I am thinking of getting just one when they are available gain and leaving the trekking pole tip at home. Though I despise adding weight to my pack.
