    Blackbird XLC question

Finally did my taxes and I've got some change coming, so of course I'm thinking of another hammock. I'd like to go with an XLC, but I'd like some reassurance regarding the head / footbox orientation before pulling the trigger. The fine print on the site says that it's reversible, just wondering if anyone can confirm. I like my head right-of-center and my feet left.

    Thanks,

    -Kent

It is for sure Kent. You just take the bugnet off and flip it and it reverse it. Without the bugnet it is just a regular hammock....like the WB Traveler.
You can see it at 3:11 into the video below.

Perhaps I am not visualizing this well and could use a video. The wooki head end has a loop of string to go over the whipping on the head end. The foot end uses a rubber band and carabiner to attach the wooki. Does the wooki get flipped up side down? Thanks for illuminating this issue !

Illumination~~ He was asking about the actual XLC hammock to convert to left or right lay.
The Wooki has to be ordered according to your chosen lay. If you flip it you would be compressing the down.

I think Brandon made that enhancement on the XLC 2nd generation. I have the 1st generation and it is not reversible. I think that was a great addition that he made after a year or two of the XLC launch.

10-4 on the XLC lay being reversible. The lay orientation is determined by the orientation of the zip-on top cover/net. Same with the Eldorado.

I say go for it, your purchase will not be in vain.

Yes Kent I also have a left lay with my feet to the left. I unzipped and flipped the net on my XLC immediately upon receiving it. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Just FYI, You can even save a few bucks (or OZ) by getting an Eldorado instead of an XLC. They are the same hammock, it's just the XLC has the shelf storage where the Eldorado doesn't. The tops are interchangeable though if you change your mind later or want options for different trips. I originally bought mine as a used Eldorado and got the XLC top later on.
