This is my first time posting a new thread, and long time lurker. I have been lurking for many years and always felt I had nothing of value to add to the discussion. The forums are a little slower so thought I would introduce myself.
I also wanted to thank everyone here for their contributions to the hammock community. I learned almost everything and still learning about hammocks here on the forums. Special shout out to Shug and Derek Hansen. You guys put out great content for the beginner and beyond.
I used a hammock on my very first overnight backpacking trip in Yosemite. The hammock was an Eno singlenest? from REI and I used a blanket from home and a cheap sleeping bag as insulation all packed in a Jansport. Fun times. Later I was using a foam pad and bivy in a hammock. Now almost 13 years later I feel satisfied in my ultralight hammock system. There will always be tweaking, but overall satisfied.
Recently I have been experimenting with the tensa4 and trying out different hammock materials and sizes. Thank you hammockforums. Can't wait to see new innovations here.
