Yes Cagouillard, 400pm Friday is time to be already ready at Yates. Several of us will be in our group.
Everyone try to be on time, but if you are a few minutes late, we might wait for you if you text us or send message, so we won’t be left hanging.
Pun intended!
Try to save me a tent site PG - I’m going to just do Sat/Sun since I don’t feel like sleeping with wet dogs Fri night and can’t get up off the ground in my hammock this trip. I may try to bring some wood in since that area has been picked pretty clean of deadfall.
Kids, don’t try this at home
Lots of people don’t know this, but clouds can be hypnotized.
I’ve been immersed in study of cloud hypnosis, had to stop after getting a crick in my neck. Some progress has been made, clouds are becoming more agreeable now, and might float away in the ether.
Sometimes I’ll read a thumbnail on YouTube saying the future can alter the past. Not sure of physics supporting theory, or if it’s a scientist getting street cred and perhaps a government grant.
Maybe I can try self hypnosis, and I’ll really think it’s not raining, even though my boots are splashing puddles on trail.
Some of us are going today, come hell or high water
And some will join us tomorrow
All is good
Cagouillard is going EARLY to Yates, and wants to know if anyone else will be EARLY. If so, post here, y’all might hike in together.
Y’all better not get my tree!
Sorry to miss out on this one; I have a scouting commitment this weekend. Have fun! I hope the campsite isn’t too spongy — was was pretty muddy in some of the primo hanging spots the last time I was there with scouts.

Was all set to quit lying and drinking coffee until this weekend’s trek into Uwharries.
Things went downhill as I just had two small mugs of coffee and began spouting off about a mythical town in Maine and their Great Pumpkin Regatta.
Turns out there is no such town as Damariscotta Maine.
Entire YouTube video shot in a Hollywood studio to boost Maine tourism and liquor sales.
Had a blast this weekend, eleven of us counting five good dogs and a mysterious woman. Claimed she was married to one of our campers.
As things settle down, at home I will redouble my efforts to break free of coffee and prevarication…just a bit at a time…tapering off.
Now I’m wanting to go to Damariscotta, to discover the truth!
Looks like I may have lost a stake bag (dyneema camo colored) if anyone happens to ever find it at Beech Camp.
Thanks for putting together the hang and putting up with my overly protective pup!
