NC - Uwharrie Fri Night Out 3/24

Phantom and I met up at Yates last night for a quick hike over to Beech Camp. We had a couple of friends (Lenny & Indy) in tow who helped stand guard against the local wildlife. When we got to camp, a group of Scouts rolled in while we were cooking dinner so Phantom took some amsteel over to their area and gave some lessons on the Siberian Hitch, Farrimond Friction Hitch, and Daisy Chain knots. I think he also took donations s for his YouTube channel… Weather was fantastic for field cook meals and a campfire. Hit a bit of rain on the hike out this morning but none of us melted. Apologies for my tent adjacent to Phantom’s impressive 12’ rig, but that’s my solution for 2 dog nights in the woods. Looking forward to the next trip.
