Superior Gear and Dutch’s under quilts

Has anyone used both Superior Gear snap on under quilts and Dutch’s zip on under quilts?

Ease of Use, durability, warm with no air gaps, weight-if a big difference

I would like to get 12 foot hammock.
Are they both offered in 12 foot hammocks?

    Thanks

Edit Either hammock and under quilt

I dont have experience with superior gear, but dutch's zip on will work with all chameleon variants per Dutch himself. I have a wide 11' and a 0degree zip on , and its fabulous!

Superior Gear doesn't offer 12' as an option currently. You could ask if they'll do one-- they did for a brief period back in 2021. All the accessories, however, were universal regardless of hammock length, so their quilt would still snap on to a 12' hammock vs 11' or 10'.

I imagine a zip-on option would be more secure than the snaps. Not that I see a lot of complaints about snaps coming undone, but I have seen them. Might depend a bit on how busy of a sleeper one is.

To be clear on Superior Gear, what they make is a top quilt with snaps that can be used on their hammock as an UQ. I don't believe there is any suspension attached to use on any other type of hammock.

For the record, though, the built in UQ in their hammock is the bomb. I have a 15 degree and I would have much confidence going below that if needed. I've had zero degree HG quilts that barely kept me warm at 15, with possible user error as a reason. Nothing to worry about with SG.

Good to know, built in under quilt is toasty.
Does Superior Gear make it in a 12 foot hammock?
I heard it’s no longer available in 12 foot hammock.

no 12' offered - I previously used an 11' netless and now use a 10' SG

I want to get this in a 12 foot hammock

Dutchwaregear has a 12 foot hammock with a zip on under quilt.

Has anyone used this and is it good at keeping you toasty, with no air gaps?

    Any problems?

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you for your help!

I’m curious as well about the zip on UQ for Chameleon. Looks like there is some potential for air since you still have to cinch the ends up (allows for venting I guess). Seems to be a universal issue with attachable underquilts. (A few people have them and have commented a bit in this thread: https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...R-Better/page3 )

Still— much *less* fiddle I guess. Quilt stays positioned correctly, just have to dial in the cinch on the ends.

They do sell a quilt suspension accessory to allow their quilt to be attached to other, non-Superior Gear hammocks.
