On my whoopies, inside the adjustable loop, I tie a short "common whipping" knot. It can actually slide along the loop if you wish, but I always leave it just where the loop becomes the bury (constrictor). I use basic mason's line, but any smaller diameter would work.

I also like the idea of zip ties as was mentioned above. Cheap, easy to replace, inexpensive.

Dutch is an expert on titanium everything. Maybe he could make titanium beads… that would be awesome… and lasts longer than the plastic beads.

I’ve had a bead break, and was able to undo the whoopie, replace the bead with a washer (I think I’d use a bead if I had it to do again — don’t think the washer is good for the amsteel), fish it through the bury, and redo the end. I think I was basically redoing the splices using the original whoopie for parts, but it held up fine.

For whoopie slings that do not have any kind of stopper, you can put bury a small piece into the eye to create a bulge that will keep it from being (easily) pulled into the whoopie bury. Basically gives the same effect as a butt splice.

Alamosa, your idea, is probably best idea, even better than idea I will post below.
But I gotta do it, on account of, I like knots.

Get a length of Zingit or Lashit, and tie it in a Nail Knot in place of the bead. Pull it tight and trim off loose ends.
