Vehicle supported. Decent amount of solar. Usually I have this entire set up w/ me.

But this past year we've just been using my partner's rigs. I just happen to prefer sleep outside unless conditions get very extreme.

And just to get back on track,

This is my setup here while I was using the Onewind tarp. It's down at the moment because I need to seam seal it. Ridgeline tape is starting to break up and I'm just going to try sealing it instead of retaping.IMG_20240110_130921194.jpgIMG_20240110_130323221_HDR.jpg

I recently acquired a OneWind Penumbra tarp for hot tent hammocking. I think the quality (stitching, alignment of materials, quality of materials, etc.) is adequate yet not quite what you might get with a cottage vendor. It's fire-retardant fabric so you'd expect it to be heavier but man it is a brick at almost 7 pounds. Clearly not meant for backpacking, so I shouldn't have such high expectations.

I think I'm going to get my son setup with a OneWind hammock and tarp. He camps with me maybe once a year, and a more expensive setup would be a little too much for him.

Someone already posted this, but I just watched Derek Hansen (author of The Ultimate Hang) review of Onewind hammock+tarp and he's overall very positive on them. Check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSdQ...el=DerekHansen
