Need some value prices straps to replace 10 year old straps

Looking for some cheaper straps to save weight and space over my 10 year old Eno daisy chain straps. These are just for hanging a cheap no-name Amazon hammock in camp for relaxing, not for a full on sleep system. Suggestions? Current straps are 11.2 ounces and the size of a grapefruit

Dutchware has "spider" daisy chain. not only is it much lighter per foot. The links are much closer too - like 3-inch spacing instead of 6 inches.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

I’ll second Cougarmeat, those 1” spider daisy chain straps are great. I use them, have carabiners on each end of hammock on continuous loop and hook carabiner to straps.
These straps have loops every three inches, blue on one side, black on other side.
They are woven—not sewn— together and the loops lay flat and unseen until needed for use.
They are lightweight, strong and not bulky!

If you get flat tree straps from Dutch, ask them which of their straps work best with their buckles.

Or you might choose to use tree straps with whoopie slings, toggles for use with marlin spike hitches.

There's an economy choice, too. The two types of straps I've used that are most compact when stored are (1) expensive kevlar 2" straps, which are nice and thin, very strong, but bunch up around the trees so they don't protect the cambium as well as they should, and (2) dirt cheap yellow 1" straps from Harbor Freight (cut off the ratchet mechanisms), which surprisingly have outlasted heavier polyester straps (going on 15 years or so) - no daisy chains; use with marlinspike hitch and toggle. You pays your money, and you takes your choice.

FWIW, I have "fixed" the bunching problem with the kevlar straps, by sewing little crosswise pockets and inserting hand-carved bamboo battens to keep the strap width to 2" - for DIY fanatics only. I did it mostly to justify having spent $$$ on the straps to start with, but it works. Have used similar battens with Dutch's 2" Spider Webbing, too.

Strapworks will make your custom straps.

    https://www.strapworks.com/

I had these 2-inch Polyester straps made with two Red Tri-Glides, 9-feet in length, for a total 8.7 ounces.

Many options for lighter or heavier, widths, materials.

I prefer Tri-Glides because they are adjustable for tree circumference and a single adjustable loop; zero slippage.

I am seeing some very nice options here and want to to share what I use, for consideration. I use two options, both ~$15USD.

I use 2" tree-huggers from Hennessey - all of their straps are the same price, regardless of length or width, $10, plus a little for shipping I think.

I also use (more frequently) 10' 1" straps from OneWind that I got on Amazon for ~$15.90. I use these all the time. They're not the lightest (they say 200g for the set, including carabiners and the buckles - I ditched the buckles and just use a becket hitch, thanks Shug!!)

Anyway, for cheap and simple, these are both great options in my opinion.
    New to hanging!
