    2023 Thru Hikers

Curious if anyone is aware of any 2023 Appalachian Trail thru hikers on YouTube using a hammock?

For sure on the bucket list at some point in the future.

I'm sure there'll be a few. I followed a couple people last year as my buddy was hiking the AT (but in a tent/tarp setup).

Don't know yet I have never VOLGED before but might give it a try.
    Thanks
I will be using the Dream Hammock Darien and the DCF 11' Cameo Tarp with doors along with the Mount Washington 20% under Quilt and Feathered Friends 20 % down sleeping bag.

That's a great setup, I used a very similar setup when I did my thru 2 years ago. Plenty of great spots to hammock, I only spent 3 nights in shelters. Unfortunately I tore my Darien about half way through due to user error, of course in the middle of a downpour.

We’re all thinking alike. I too have a Darien and 11’ DCF HG Standard. Just order a ridgerunner though with a Thunderfly, curious if I sleep better in a bridge

Well, it's official I will be going down to Georgia on the 24th and staying the night at the lodge, and starting my thru-hike on Sunday the 25th at the parking lot of Springer Mountain.
Going to take my time getting my legs under me and just head north.
Will try to post any updates when I can.
