WI, Da Shack Winter Hang, March 17-18-19, 2023



Hi all, Tumbleweed here. I will host a March 2023 hammock hangout at Da Shack in central Wisconsin.

Thanks to the labors of many individuals we have an abundance of firewood to burn, and you could help us out.

We will have parking at the homestead, and may snowshoe, pull a sled / toboggan (1/2 mile), depending on snow conditions. Some years we can drive up to da shack. Hopefully... Lots of trees and clearings to hang out in/near.

Homestead is located about one mile west of the Iola Winter Sports Club grounds. Driving directions: From Iola, WI, take hwy 45 north to hwy MM . Go west on MM till you go PAST the Iola Sports Club grounds. About 1 mile west is hwy T. Turn north on hwy T for about 1/2 mile. Just off highway T on the east side of hwy T is our homestead / driveway. See the New Hope Segment sign for the Ice Age Trail on the west side of hwy T.

Da Shack hangs are noted for the abundance and diversity of foods. You will not go hungry here. Bring something to share if you want.

The fire in da shack and the bonfire outside do not go out till noon Sunday, and we have gear to share as needed.
