Arrived today! Initial setup probably took me 30 minutes but having been through that I can see getting it down to 10 reliably. Not sure that I will ever hit the 5 minutes some of the backers said they are at but I have never been accused of being speedy.

RR fits great by itself, might be iffy with a bridge + a gathered end (gonna test once my test subjects kids get home). Skeptical two bridges would fit side by side.

Tried that yesterday. Put my Dutchware Banyan and Warbonnet Ridgerunner on at the same time; no good. TBH, unless the person in the hammock next to me is my spouse, I don't think I'd hang side by side. That's just me.

For sure. My interest in the Hive was primarily that it’s both freestanding and large enough to accommodate 12’+ hammocks and some bridge hammocks. Curious to see if the Big Guy bridge works on the Hive.

Daughter and I fit surprisingly well next to each other (one bridge, one gathered end). No idea what that would look like with a tarp yet but that is an adventure for another day. Can't see any reason this wouldn't work just fine with the Big Guy bridge.

I fit two JRB James River Bridge Ultralights on the Hive.I put the larger head ends on opposite sides with plenty of room to spare.

It does fit. Just Bill tried it out at the Memorial Day TrailHeadz hang

Yar... and Cajun was nice enough to swing by my house a few weeks ago.
We tried out all my bridge models on both the Cricket and the pre-production Hive.

    Cricket-
YES- the Happy Medium fits quite well on the cricket.
To the best of my knowledge that is the only bridge that can fit on the Cricket. The Happy Medium has a 10' (9'9" average) adjustable ridgeline.
We (Barry and I) were mildly freaked out for a bit as it didn't like the painted concrete floor or the foam workout mats... it skittered and twisted under load.
So we took it outside and it did great on the grass with a very simple system of just slapping a loop or two (depending on your preferences) onto the stand.
By far- easiest stand with the Happy Medium I've seen and a sweet combo.

    Hive-
My Big Guy, Luxury, and Just a Bridge all have a 12' ridgeline (11'9" average) so fit pretty easily with minimal modifications.

Side by side- including trying head and feet reversed... not happening.
Though I'm told that Cal is working on an extension for the silver poles to make the stand wider so if that pans out... easy.

Big Guy/Luxury and a gathered end... doable.

Bunk bed (low big guy- higher kid bridge) mostly fine but would be easier to get your kid into a GE, but if you've got one of them kiddos you just need to keep trapped and at hand it works if you can lift em in and out.

My simple observation- best to dial it in at home, ideally if you can splice a little as you may need some odd lengths of loop or dogbone.

The Hive did better on the painted concrete floor and was pretty solid with several goofy setup variations and combinations we tried.

From there- get the ridgeline tight and the bridge pitched to the desired tension (end to end) and disregard the height.
Then adjust height via the legs of the stand to dial in your sit height. I'm told you can put each end at a different height... which makes things simple as the head end is typically a little higher in a bridge.

Long story short- fun visit, innovative stand, and some interesting options for tarps/nets etc.
If you have big dreams of creating the ultimate car camping setup... hard to go wrong.

    Hi Don!
I had thunked in my brian that the JRB JRB had matching 36" poles at each end?
When folks ask me I've told them it's a symmetrical bar bridge but sounds like I messed that up along the way. Or do you offer both pole sets for folks to choose from?
Just want to make sure I'm not messing it up!

    Hi!

The Bear Mountain Bridge Deluxe does have symmetrical poles. The new James River Bridge uses asymmetrical poles with a symmetrical body.

Thankee... 36/26 ish? I could see that fitting.

For those following along: Spreader bar sizes on the rest

The Big Guy and Luxury are 42/36
The Happy Medium and Just a Bridge are 36/36

I believe his Dutchness is 38/28 now and the Brandonest Bridge is 40/28
