Static Top Quilt on Town's End Bridge Hammock

I've attached some small mini biners to the first and last sets of elastic loops holding the pad clips on my Incubator to the pad loops on the Luxury Bridge. I haven't slept in it yet, (will be tonight) but just laying in it I am able to roll to my side and stomach without having to hold the TQ to keep it from rolling with me. I've currently just been using it inside, and I realize this probably won't work well warmth-wise when in lower temps, but I thought it'd be worth trying!

To get in/out I just unclip one of the top carabiners:

How did it sleep? Curious to know if you had any drafts through the sides with the sides being clipped instead of being wrapped close to your body. I like the idea, but don't know if it would work or not. Let us know.

Well I was inside and it was around 60 in the room, so I didn't notice any draft.

I had to remove the 2 biners closer to the foot box because they caused a ridge where the foot box opened up.

I seem to move either up or down in the hammock when I sleep, and I woke up a little out of the quilt, so I just scrapped the idea

Well, you never know unless you try it out!

Them tabs are there for a reason

    Looks good!

For an added bonus to tryout for those who have pad strap loops on the top quilt... you can use the bonus loops and double (mini) mitten hooks that come extra in the quilt kit to attach the D ring on your UQ to the loop on your Top quilt. It's not a perfect 'pod' system but not a horrible one either.

Usually- doing a connection around the hips and one shoulder is enough to allow things to connect enough that you are less prone to toss your quilt if you really thrash around.

We used to call my brother the 'night time ninja' as he frequently got in dream fights and tossed his sheets and blankets mercilessly. SUL nylons on UL nylons present a similar challenge for some... so that's part of the reason I include the extra bits and bobs to help people keep things pinned down a bit.

Generally- Hammock folks don't include pad straps or quilt attachments as readily as Enlightened equipment or other ground vendors do.
I don't promote the add a clip type stuff as there is a chance the teeth can tear up your quilt shells, but I believe others have posted that type of nylon clip and it does work pretty well if you're careful.

Additional info that might help someone... like EE, UGQ also has (or offers optionally?) the flat clips for ground pad attachment, and the light elastic bands to keep them in place. These worked well for me in the hammock with a 40deg Bandit, although a bit annoying clipping in and releasing for 2am irrigation trips. I'd rather simply re-tuck as necessary and resume snooze.

It's different on the ground. I nearly always use the clips/bands, if only to keep quilt and pad united. If using a air mat/CCF combo they're practically mandatory, somewhat mitigating the horror of ground sleeping.
