Looking at planning an event in the next few months around Central Illinois. Does anyone else have any interest? I have a few people that would be willing to go and I wanted to see if we could get a few more.
By central I'm really thinking within an hour or 2 of Bloomington, IL. Probably a Friday and Saturday eve with the idea that we could all just hang out and have a good time.

Fantastic!! I think this could be great. Does March 17th weekend or March 31st work for you guys?
Here are some venues that I think could work well - Lake Evergreen - north of Bloomington, Weldon Springs Clinton, IL, Leroy's Moraine View, Sand Ridge State Park close to Havana, or Humiston Woods by Pontiac.
If ya head north a bit I'd be interested, provided dates work out.

Hi there Goobie, I've been to Rock Cut and it's a fun camp site. I would be interested in doing that at a later date for sure. Next month I was hoping to stay a little more local though.
We have a date!! March 31 and April 1.
Now for the location, besides the couple of you that commented we will have at least 6 more coming. Mostly scouters.

Walnut State Park in Oakland, IL & Sand Ridge State Forest in Forest City, IL are both great spots with plenty of trees!
How about Forest Glen? I could reserve some spots. There are some really nice trails here. Depending on which camp we stay at, it could be as short as a 3 mile hike in, up to an 11 mile loop for anyone that wants a longer hike.
