Had a few free days in January, so i decided to hike the Black Creek Trail in southern Mississippi again. The trail was in good condition over all, had a few over grown spots and lots of blow downs in the wilderness area for a couple of miles near the creek. Trail was very wet and soggy in the low areas due to lots of rain the week before. Had a nasty storm come through the 2nd night which made all the little sloughs and streams fill up. There were a couple of deep spots that I had to find alternates routes around. A great trip overall. 40 miles in three days, plenty of great places to hang and didn't see another person the whole time. Saw a few wild hogs and one small copper head sunning himself.
