OH > March Hang

It looks like the February hang is almost upon us, and there has been discussion about a March hang, so let's get things started. I'm in the Columbus area, but I'm able to travel to wherever. I am currently available any weekend in March. I know I'm not a regular, or trusted member of the group yet, so hopefully someone with some clout and trust can jump in and get the ball rolling. I look forward to meeting new people and getting out more!

I am only able to do one of the first 2 Fri/Sat in March. As Mohican is off the table (See February) and we are going to Wildcat Hollow in February, I am suggesting we go to Zaleski. As I have never backpacked there, I will defer to others who have more experience to determine just exactly where.

I haven't been to Zaleski either. I'm fairly new to backpacking, but I have the necessary gear. How far of a trek is it?

It is down by Lake Hope south of Nelsonville.

Cool, I like that area. How much hiking are we talking about once we get there?

Don’t necessarily have to do this for march but there are a couple sites in Shawnee that have been used as kinda park n pack. One has a flat 100 -150 yard walk the other is 1 mile with almost no elevation.

I've done Zaleski a couple times. Good option. Shawnee can be good, also. (Trees is the man for guiding us there.) I'm looking at something else, but it's iffy.

I'm out the weekend of the 11th, but I'm free any other weekend in March

I am continuing to follow but my back is still giving me issues. I doubt I will be able at this point to go in March.
