    Good day from NC/TN

    Good day!

My name is Chris, I am near Banner Elk on the NC/TN border, I have been lurking the forum for a few months now, you all have been a valuable asset for me while I put my setup together. A little over a year ago I got my first Hennesy Exped for a steal, $25 used from a used gear shop in Boone. Loved my experiences in it, but hated the bottom entry aspect of it, and my 3rd outing in it came to an emergency halt when a monsoon came through and I realized my tarp was not waterproof!

Currently rocking a Banyan, a budget OneWind 12' tarp, and picking up a AHE UQ today after some beneficial chat with Iceman.

I'm currently a full time student at ASU (CIS with cybersecurity minor), army vet, peddle wine at a local winery, and am in the process of opening a brewery in this area. Thanks for having me!

Hi Chris welcome to the forums if you're looking for a good summer under quilt I found one on Amazon pretty cheap it's a synthetic goes down to about 40°, and it fits my hammock very well I only use it in the spring but I don't do a lot of summer camping
Its a good day to be out in the woods no matter the weather.Mist One..

Welcome to the party, pal! Hope to see you out on trail some day in the future. By the way, I am having good luck covering my Banyan with a tarp I bought for my Amok Draumr. My 12' Hammock Gear tarp wasn't wide enough for it.

I had been using my eno Profly for a while, nice tarp, but definitely too small for much. I haven't gotten to take out my new 12' tarp yet, but I'm sure I can make it work after using the profly.
