Half Wit netting adjustment question ?

I like to think I'm fairy intelligent, at least most of the time. LOL, I cant figure out how the little plastic thingy on the ridgeline is supposed to work for adjusting the netting ? Any help would be appreciated ? Cheers !

Is it one of these? If so, squeeze the 2 corners of the "triangle" that are opposite from the hook toward each other. This will relieve its pinch on the ridgeline and you can slide it one way or the other to adjust the net drape.

Yes, it looks like that but doesn't have the hook, also there is a D ring on the netting that the ridgeline goes through ? Is that correct ? Thanks

Send me an email with the picture. We had one go out without the shock cord to hold up the net going through the plastic piece and this sounds like it might be it. it is an easy fix. [email protected]

Not to hijack this thread, but what creative solutions have other Half-wit users come up with for "stowing" the net when you just want it out of the way? The single ribbon in the middle seems to do the trick there, but the rest of the mesh just hangs down on either side of it, which makes ingress/egress a bit complicated. I've nearly torn the mesh a couple times sitting on it.

I'm thinking that maybe a big binder clip on either side is the simplest solution, but would prefer something that's integrated (ie: can't be lost) and can be safely packed away with the hammock. Like, maybe a strip of grossgrain attached to the edge hem of the body with a KAM snap to secure it around the wad of mesh? Or a loop of shock cord through the tie-out d-rings with a cord lock on it; roll or shove the mesh through and cinch down the cord lock.

Well, yeah, I guess that's an option. But, I'm thinking more for situations where I want to use the netting once I'm in the hammock, but keep it out of my way while getting in. For now, I'll try the shock cord/cord lock thing and see how that works.
