Question Have you seen or did you make this quilt ????

I just bought this DIY UQ on eBay for $60. The seller says he bought it over 7 years ago from the person who made it, but didn't have any info about it at all. I figured that a person who would make a quilt like this, 7 YEARS AGO, would have to be here on the forum, or someone else would know the original owner. For being as old as it is its in pretty good shape too. I do have a question about the interesting suspension that it has : I can't figure out what to do with the small shock cord loop w/ mitten hook that's close to one end and which end it should be on, head or foot, if it even has one. It appears to be a roughly 0° quilt by the looks of the loft currently and how much more it will loft after I wash it with Grangers down wash. For only $60 I think I got a steal even though its so old, yet still in such good shape!.A true testament to the person who made it.... You did an awesome job! Here are a few pics of it on my HG hammock, with and without my 50° Trailwinder stacked on top, and the Ebay listing with what info he had. Has anyone here have any info on this quilt?

Your quilt appears identical to my summer quilt (tho mine is a sewn-thru model). Tewa Quilts were made by a fellow in Fountain Hills Arizona. He was on this forum for a while in the earlier days. His products never got the attention that other cottage makers did (I don't know why- mine is well made and going strong). He donated my quilt to an Oregon summer hang raffle where I won it. You've got a nice quilt there.

Its definitely a nice quilt and very well made. Any ideas on the shock cord w/ mitten hook on the side?

I wonder if that mitten hook could be used to connect one side of the quilts shock cord to the other side in an attempt to prevent drafts? Just spitballing.

I tried but its not long enough. Right now I have it clipped to the shoulder pull out mini D ring on my HG hammock. Maybe its just to keep it in place? Being so short it doesn't reach to the corner where the suspension attaches. If its not for how I have it rigged now, Im truly stumpped!

Is it more on the head or foot end? Maybe it's for connecting to the ridgeline and keeping it in place?

I THINK its the head end?At first I had it on the foot end , but I ended up switching it around and now its right by by shoulder.. You can see it in pic #6 and on the left side of pic #2. Its too short to reach the end suspension..

I agree that it could be a Te-wa quilt. My first UQ was made by him. I had to sell it because it was too narrow and kept slipping off my shoulder. I wonder if that short tie- out was intended to keep that from happening, maybe by clipping to something attached to the hammock RL?

If people think it might be a te-wa quilt, it could be worth taking a look through their gallery.
