I am guessing this is another rabbit hole I just haven't gone down yet

It's exactly that lol, there are a few awesome Reddit pages dedicated to it, like backcountrygourmet, Hikertrashmeals, and trailmeals. I have pulled a few recipes from AndrewSkurka.com, but I find a lot of enjoyment playing around with my own dehydrated meals. My go to are noodle bowls: rice noodles, dehydrated mushrooms,shrimp, onions, venison, egg powder, etc. I add a scoop of egg powder to pretty much everything, easy protein.

I like big butts and I cannot lie... I may have to smoke at home, then. Wondering how many to smoke, actually. I was thinking two or three. I inject with a Dr. Pepper concoction then smoke so maybe I do that at home and bring it to heat up somehow. Gotta find the right Carolina BBQ sauce for it!

Guess I'll have to make some Joyride BBQ sauce. Always a hit and goes well with pork.
