I like big butts and I cannot lie... I may have to smoke at home, then. Wondering how many to smoke, actually. I was thinking two or three. I inject with a Dr. Pepper concoction then smoke so maybe I do that at home and bring it to heat up somehow. Gotta find the right Carolina BBQ sauce for it!

Expect 40 to 50 people but not all will eat your food. Very easy to have way too much. Plan to deal with leftovers. The more people that camp down the road away from the main group, the more that will not eat with the group. One butt will probably do unless you advertise your intention to feed everyone.
Smoke meat at home and plug sous vide into car to warm it up, my goto for car camping. I am trying to make this trip work, but I think my spring break is the week after, meaning I'll have mid terms... Being in college in your 30s is weird.

I freeze cooked meat, then put in cooler to go camping. Then either eat cold meat, or quickly reheat in frying pan—with a spot of water.
Sometimes if backpacking, I pack frozen already cooked meat in plastic containers or ziplock bags.
It thaws while hiking and is ready to eat.
I’ll figure out what I will cook after this weekend lol

Electrake do you happen to have any good links to resources like YouTube videos on this topic? I am wanting to try dehydrating my own backpacking meals, put them in vacuum sealed bags, then rehydrate them on trail. I am guessing this is another rabbit hole I just haven't gone down yet, and there's no Shug-equivalent to be found on the topic LOL.
