Bear in mind, that's the summit which is 800-1000 ft higher than the campground with no windblock. The summit is about 2.75 miles away as the crow flies and about an 8 mile hike.
NOAA doesn't go out beyond Friday afternoon, but it's showing 40 for the high Friday currently. Accuweather shows similar, and Weather.com only has White Top but is similar.
That being said, ALWAYS prepare for 15-20 degrees lower than any forecast.

Well, I finally got home a little while ago, Saturday, 14th, after 6 days.
They never found the cause of the high temperature, not even the infection doctors, but along with it, I was having Atrial fibrillation.
I guess it was sometime Monday or Tuesday that the fever broke, and I went out of Afib. I felt so much better! Turned out that my heart was still going into Afib and back to normal every so often.
I don't know if it had done so before this event or not. Anyway, they have on a blood thinner and a med for the Afib. Good news is, I feel great, and I'm cleared to go back to work on Monday! I thank each of you for your car and support!

You guys have fun up there!
I too will something make and joy in it's making

Great news Slowhike. Hope the meds keep you in rhythm. Know a lot of people with AFib. The meds work. Get feeling better soon.

Good news for those wanting to see colder temps for a winter hang. The forecast for Friday is now in the mid 30s with lows that night in the mid 20s.

still not seeing that. Temps at lower elevations (group camp elevation) still forecasted in the mid 30s to high of low 50s range. I’m still planning on bringing gear for less but looks like more chance of rain than snow this year.

Planning to attend, but not much of a cook. What can I contribute to the group?
