Red face ViDEO: First Snow Camp of Season on Superior Hiking Trail

I baited Jonah and Alex with a trip a few weeks back. Just a text to say we need to get out.
They could go day after Thanksgiving. I feel I'd need to roll myself down the trail but acquiesced.
Last minute cancel by Alex with some family health issues. So it was Jonah and myself.
3 nice nights to get the feel for upcoming snow season.
Used Superior Gear hammocks. I had my HG 20º TQ. Jonah had JRB TQ.
    Real good and delightful time.

Cold snow, hot coffee and great chow. Good to get outdoors trekking and hammock camping, with Jonah and his pyrotechnic design

Watching this video with my wife, she remarked how stressed out I am in my videos compared to your relaxing camps. She recommended I take some trips with fewer miles and more camp time and I grudgingly acknowledge she may be on to something.

The older ya' get the more relaxed it becomes. Just happy to still do it.
We always compete within ourselves. Our trip was about 14 miles so enough to feel like we walked in snow but not enough to stress us and wear us out.
I am 64 years old you know. Always order how long I can keep doing it.

Beautiful video! The sounds from the lake were cool. When I camp by streams/rivers in the winter, sometimes I hear odd things, which I am sure are bears or moose coming to get me, but are probably just ice moving around.

The wood collection comparison was revealing .

Another great video. Those overlooks were gorgeous with the light layer of snow! I highly relate to Jonahs anxious engineering mind and categorized wood piles…

Water seems to love to communicate with us. I too hear rivers speak...especially whilst in the hammock.
Jonah wanted the fire so badly. I went along. A little.

That lake was really groaning. Sounded like Nessy under the ice!
Good to hear from you. We all move move on to other things......

Fun for me to watch his meticulous piles. His hammock area is neatly organized as well. Though he is always looking for something he misplaced!!!! haaaaa
