    Warbonnet Yeti UQ

This is a 20deg Warbonnet Yeti underquilt
    Fill Type: 850 FP down
    Temperature: 20deg
Fabric: Dark Ocean Blue/15D Ripstop Nylon
    No overfill
Standard lay (head left, feet right)
    Weight: 11.25oz
Includes stuff sack and a pair of Dutchware quilt hangers
Stored unstuffed and loose in a storage bag. Used only about 5 times. It's in excellent condition.

    Price: $165 shipped

I have added secondary suspensions to other quilts and had thought about doing it on this one as well to keep it better centered under me at night. If you are interested, I can add a secondary suspension for an additional $10.

docbrown, do you have any pictures of your secondary suspensions? I'm very interested in secondary suspensions, and probably interested in the UQ as well.

    Quantumman,
Good question. I'd want to know more details about what kind of modifications someone was going to make to a professionally made quilt too! I have experimented with multiple different suspension systems, some of which have worked better than others (I have a wife and 4 kids, all of whom have hammocks now, and purchasing 6 professionally-made underquilts is well outside of my budget, so I've had to go with DIY gear where possible). Here is a primary and secondary suspension on a quilt I sewed previously. I'm not 100% happy with the prussic knot version there, but it works okay.

This is the primary and secondary suspension on a Hammock Gear quilt (sewed by them, not me):

I think that is a more robust option than what I've done previously. So I was planning to do something similar to the Yeti if I kept it:

The plan is to use a small piece of grosgrain to attach linelocs at each of the 4 corners of the UQ. I can insert the grosgrain inside the channel for the primary suspension to protect it from fraying or getting caught on anything, and all stitches will be comfortably away from any of the insulating areas and will not risk damaging the quilt in any way. Then, I'll use two pieces of thin shockcord attached to the quilt hangers and running back to the linelocs on each end of the quilt.

All good discussion but you are in the FS area. If you wish to answer questions about the specific item you are selling it's all good but this looks more like general discussion of suspensions. Please move the discussion out to the proper area and keep all comments on this specific item you are selling. Thank you.

Still available, though if I don't get any takers in the next couple days, I'll pull this and relist in January after I'm back in town.
