    Hello from North of France

    Hello,

I signed up a few days ago. Since then I have read a lot of topics and learned a lot about hammocks.

I've had a hammock in the living room for years. I use it for small naps, or to read comfortably. But I never got a full night's sleep or used it outdoors.

So, I could ask some questions!

My English may seem unnatural; I am not a native speaker.

Welcome Spoutch from across the pond! I took Spanish in high school and college and have long since forgotten almost all Spanish.
I noticed that Spanish was an easier language to learn than English. English is very hard to learn, with all its inconsistencies.
    We all speak Hammock here!
There was a French hammock camper on Hammock Forums a couple years ago-I’ve forgotten his trail name. He typed detailed posts of his ideas. He had good ideas for hammocks and tarp suspensions.

After hanging your hammock, it’s always good to get in and check your work.

Welcome to HF - where untying knots in your suspension and guy lines is probably easier that deciphering what we've written. We exist for questions. Answers are another thing altogether. Seriously, welcome, welcome.

    Thanks!
Your comparison is funny: I fell into knots tying 25 years ago, in my childhood. So, untying knots will really not being a problem.

Hi Spoucth & Bonjour du Pays de Galles.

    Welcome.

This is such a good forum for asking questions & getting opinions, so you are in good company.

If there are any language problems, then the easy (lazy) way is to use Google Translator, or something similar. it all helps.

Also if the words don't work, then you might get a link to a YouTube video to show you instead. There are lots of great channels there with lots of answers too.

    Enjoy
