Makes me recall my travels to Japan! Beautiful. How extensive is the trail system there?

Thanks! Japan is very mountainous and the trails are extensive, but there aren’t any long trails like the the US. Here’s what the trails looks like 1.5 hrs away from my home near the center of Tokyo

Ofuros, certainly know your trails here. That’s the newest one but unfortunately it’s a lot of PR as the infra is still not there and they, for very good reason, want you go into town, stay and spend money.

https://longtrail.jp/trail_e.html has listings of all the known long trails.

The Minami Alps trail is on my bucket list and these people did the full traverse ocean to ocean: https://www.halfwayanywhere.com/trai...ary-gps-track/
