    Florida Panhandle hammock spots

Looking to take a ride to Florida. See Britton Hill and a night of hammocking. Any spots you can think of. can be drive up or walk in.

Do I need 2" straps for Florida State Forest. I think State Parks require them.

Dunno much about camping in that part of the state, but state parks require minimum 1" straps: https://www.floridastateparks.org/Rules

not sure about Britton Hill, but if you keep going east to Torreya State Park, a couple hammock-friendly sites are:
-Tent/RV Site 14 (water/electricity. good trees in the back corner of the site)
-Rock Creek Primitive Site 3 (stream and firewood close by. 3-4 good trees for hanging.)

Do you need to reserve Rock Creek Primitive at Torreya? or can you just show up and camp

I would call and make sure it’s not taken. 850-643-2674. It has 3 sites but 1 and 2 don’t currently have good trees for hanging. There is another primitive site there: Rock Bluff. I haven’t seen that one, so I don’t know the state of the trees.

Coming from Louisiana, so that's a little farther east but may work. Thanks.
