HH Zip or no Zip

Not to put a twist on things but, if you were to get the 2QZQ mod it voids the warranty, not to big a deal for most, but if you were to go back to REI and get the one with the zipper then if something were to go wrong your covered and can exchange it no problem, or if you find that you really don't care for the HH you could take it back and go get a WBBB, but if you mod the HH I guess you could still return it and not say anything, but I know that I could not do that! Just food for thought!? By the way I have a HH Hyperlite and had the 2QZQ Mod done and I "LOVE IT"

stop me if i'm wrong...but i think the Exped. 2.5 is alot more then the standard Exped.

so i think it would be cheaper to have 2QZQ do the zipper mod....
and there work is far better then HH

I think I'm the one and only guy on the forum with the "real" HH Zip model... but having never seen the 2QZQ stuff myself, I can't offer any comparison.
My gut says "support the local community people" though. They do great work from all I've heard!

Isn't the only HH zip model the Deep Jungle? Or are they starting to make Expeditions with zippers?

In any case, I am definitely going to go with 2Q's zipper mod. I've heard so many good things about it from many different people.

According to the HH site the Deep Jungle has the zipper, it is a Hyperlight hammock with a double layer with no bottom entry. They also have the Deep Jungle Long which is a "Explorer"-sized hyperlight hammock with a side zipper and a breathable double-layered body. I have the Hyperlight and had 2QZQ mod done but I also had the bottom entry sewn shut, and I love it but after seeing 2Q's hammock and the new mod on his I definitely want it on mine!!! You can't go wrong with the Mod, but let it be known that once it's done the warrenty is now void, that was the meaning with my previous post! Don't get me wrong I love my HHH now that it has the mod, it was ok before that!
