Moved here very late 2019 before all heck broke loose. Bought my first ever hammock, an overseas special cheapo, to test the airs and have rapidly become obsessed. Started on a 10' long, wider hammock (6'4" 230) with attached bug net for lunch and dinner breaks at work. I never dreamed the level of comfort over tent-camping a hammock would provide.
Now I'm on the path to hang one at home permanently.
Anyhow, hello! Look forward to interacting with hammock fanatics in the future! Happy to have all this knowledge in one place. You all made my very first hang a complete success.
I’m hoping I can find some good open campgrounds in this region in these late months, i much prefer cool/cold weather. Any suggestions for northern/central california for quick overnights are welcome.
