MrsMustardman made some of these up this week, and we used them on our pair of modular UQ's from Leigh...

This is by far the best thing to happen to UQ suspension since the invention of shock cord. The quilts didn't move an inch, and I've been fighting to keep my quilts under me since I started using them. UQ Triangle Thingies are AWESOME!!!

    The Fabled UQ Triangle

I've made my first underquilt, and it's not horrible at all. I think I may have overfilled it with down, but that's not my question at present.
Googling "Underquilt suspension" brought me to this thread about the UQ Triangle. Is this the current state-of-the art in hanging my UQ? I'll have some time tomorrow to hang it in the yard and tweak away, and maybe a couple of these triangles'd do the trick? What do you all use?
    Thanks,
    Jonathan

These work best on the asym hammocks like the WBBB or HH with bugnets. If you have a hammock similar to the Warbonnet Traveler with the exposed ridgeline (no bugnet) you could simply put some prusik style loops of cord on the ridgeline and have unlimited adjustment.

A quick way to get the same result is just take about 36" of cord and form a loop. Larkshead these to the hammock suspension cords on each end of the hammock. Place them over the top of the hammock (with internal ridgeline/bugnet) and then connect your quilt to the loop. This will help pull the UQ up. You can adjust the size of the loops to fit your needs. The triangles are just a nice finished version of the loop. The triangles help keep from having the cord rub on the bugnet over time.

The main idea is to get the UQ to pull up to help wrap around hammock better. The heavier the UQ the more these will help.

Paul at Arrowhead Equipment is selling the triangle thingies if you don't want to diy.

Any issue regarding blocking your sky view at the head-end with these or are they small enough not to? Great solution.

Anywhere from 10-12" per side, doesn't have to be very specific.

    Here's the ones I made:

No issues here. Since they attach at the very ends of the hammock, you have to be trying to look back at your attachment point on the tree to get any blockage. Clear skies overhead
