    Cloud 71 fabric durability

So now that cloud 71 fabric has been out for awhile what’s everyone’s thoughts on the durability? I’m always skeptical about new stuff but it’s been out there long enough now. Do I order a new hammock in cloud 71 and save on some weight?

I used my DL Cloud on a couple trips this summer. However, I ordered a DL from the get go. In addition, I picked up an inexpensive close out pattern Chameleon in 1.0 Hexon and hung it inside the Cloud because the failure reports seemed to be centered around folks snagging the Cloud fabric causing a run. I figured I could use the Hexon lined Cloud for truck camping adventures and if I wanted to take the Cloud instead of the Hammocktent gamma UL backpacking I could pull out the 1.0 Hexon and hit the trail. I also operate under the philosophy that a hammock is made of fabric, and as such, will have a limited life span. When it goes kaput, I'll move on hopefully with a collection of fond memories...or at least lessons learned.

I bought one of the netless hammocks in cloud .71 when they first came out. I have only used it on 3 overnighters, but take the hammock with me sometimes because I just want a lounging hammock in addition to my camping hammock. I make sure to never get in it without assessing whether there are metal pieces on my clothing. Have had zero issues. https://lighterpack.com/r/avm25v

I have 20+ nights in mine with no issues or signs of wear.
