    Hi From the Welsh/English Border

    Hi Everyone,
Just a quick "ello" from Shropshire, very close to the Welsh border here in the UK.
While living in the sticks here is one thing, I'm pretty well travelled & have spent about 11 of the last 26 years in/around North America, as well as most other parts of the world in between.
Work has largely kept me out of the trees but planning to reverse that trend now. I'm lucky enough to have pals working in the US now, so am in the process of upgrading my hangs. I have a range of hammocks by the likes of ENO (yeah, I know), Warbonnet & a couple of others.
There are a bunch more tarps brands including ENO, Warbonnet, Tatonka & others - I've spent a good deal of time under those in my time in the military as well, so it's familiar territory.

I love my outdoor life although comfort is as important to me now as anything. "Anyone can be uncomfortable", after all.
Interests include Rugby Union (I played Second Row for 18 years), watching F1, Northern Soul music & dancing, movies & travel when time & funds allow.
Looking forward to sharing experiences from & with you all.
    Cheers.

    Cheers Shug.
I know. Saw it already the other day. Your pal since '71 if I remember rightly.
A superb race & Alonso's penalty was revoked on appeal as well. Justice is served.
Doing some upgrades to tarps over the weekend so looking forward to trying them out soon.
    Cheers,
    D

    Thanks 3.
Sure was. Something for everything in one country: Deserts, swamps, jungle, mountains, high plains, forests, arctic conditions & lots in between.
Then there's Canada... +36C on my hottest day & -66C on my coldest.

Welcome Dai! Another F1 fan here. When I was a kid my dad sat next to Emo Fitipaldi on a flight to Brazil. He pulled out a post card with a picture of himself in racing suit, autographed it and told my dad to give it to his son. I was hooked!

    Thanks Charlotte

Got to be in this for the long game so it'll be a "softly softly" approach with this one.

    Have a great weekend.

    Hi Sky,
    Wow. What a great story.
Have only ever seen one race live & that's when I was working in Australia about 26 years ago but what a thrill Melbourne was. You can get anywhere in Albert Park on foot in about 15 minutes.
Just watched the MC Qually a few minutes ago. Cheko's home turf but no spoilers from me. We're in for lots of excitement tomorrow.
Thanks for the welcome & by the way, I love your Fangio quote... In my opinion, tjhat's the difference between a good driver & true greatness.
Have a great weekend & enjoy the race tomorrow.
