Anyone here use the dutchware wall anchors? If so, what size screws did you use?

Thanks for the reply. I ended up with 3" screws.
No offense.... But there is no way I'd hang from that type of anchor.
I'm glad you have had no issues, but I would not want the average person to trust that those are secure enough to hold body weight .
They can often barely hold a toilet paper roll.

A 2x4 wall stud is 1.5 by 3.5 inches
Drywall Sheetrock might be 3/8, 1/2, or 5/8 inch
Possibly include thickness of the hanger?
I don’t really know, but the anchor screws can be 3.5 inches to get a good grip and still not poke through sheathing that is on far side of stud.
Using as many screws as the hanging hardware has holes, will give the most grip.
Regardless of your setup, proof is in the pudding,
if you haven’t crashed to floor, then it’s working…

Hey guys!
The walls are made of brick so I do not need to worry!
I am 150 pounds.
It has been 4 years I have been using that wall anchors and sometimes my wife lay down with me and the total weight is almost 300 pounds. Everything is fine. For awhile!! Haha

If you want to install a hammock successfully, I advise you to follow several rules. First, do not use anchor bolts for installation in hollow bricks. They will not be able to fix themselves in it properly. When installing anchor bolts in a brick, select elements with a diameter of no more than 8 mm; thicker anchors can lead to the destruction of the brick. The hole for mounting the anchor bolt in the concrete wall should be at a distance from the edge of the wall, 2.5 times the drilling depth. I bought screws and anchors from scrooz.com.au. They have a reasonably large assortment. Be careful!

I was not aware dutch sells wall anchors. Very clever! (And looks very familiar! I'm an aircraft mechanic at a major airline- the rail system used for dutches anchors is very similar to the system used to secure for cabin seats on big airliners- very strong, yet adjustable)

FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

Guess I'm lucky, my house is old. Iused 3/8x3 1/2 lag eye bolts. For 5 years no problems. But the studs are true 2x4.
