Broke as in, the stitching came loose, or the material itself failed?

For several years I've used nothing but 15' straps with a loop sewn on one end, connected to continuous loops at the hammock with a Lapp knot. Just over 2 ounces total suspension weight. Straps are Meyerstech white UHMWPE. I did not like Meyer's ultralight black version, which was harder to keep flat, though even the white isn't ideal in this regard. I'm considering options for more bark-friendly but still light tree huggers. I searched on this forum for experimental efforts in this regard, and found nothing. I'm wondering about 4" or wider Challenge Ultra 200 fabric huggers and how that might work. I'm guessing Dyneema wouldn't have the abrasion resistance you might want. But anyway, whoopie slings? What are those? ; )
