Hello,
I live in Canada and will be spending a couple nights is SE Michigan, any suggestions on where I can hang.
I am not familiar with any of the campgrounds, and how hammock friendly they may be.
Any suggestions would are much appreciated.

Michigan is very friendly hanging territory. Almost any of the parks that you can get a reservation at will work pretty well though I'd suggest avoiding RV parks or at the very least, sites that have electric hook-ups. They tend to clear out the trees there for vehicles... which make hanging problematic. There are also many areas (sorry - I don't know SE Michigan as well for that), where dispersed camping is permitted... basically you can camp anywhere. I've only used those in central and northern Michigan. Generally, if you search around for state parks or forest reserves, you can find one and then look for the regulations for that one.
As for getting a good campsite, I generally go to https://midnrreservations.com/ and from there, filter for a TENT site. For you, click on the SOUTHERN MI section and look around. Waterloo and Pinckney are very close to Ann Arbor area (and good for hanging). Yankee Springs is a bit west, but is fantastic at Deep Lake area.
