Yes!! Steakums are alive and well. I had a sandwich with them last week. I was busting Phantoms chops though. If we get delayed Friday and get there late, you can bet we'll be grilling something at Yates that night. But the plan is to walk in with him and eat whatever we have in the packs at beech camp.

I day hiked to Beech Camp today. Got there in less than an hour. With backpack it could be an hour and quarter or an hour and half.

Dutchman’s Creek has water, but water levels are low. And little or no rain will fall until after weekend.
Water level could be lower, but I don’t think it will go dry

No rain is forecast Friday Saturday Sunday
    High temperatures mid eighties
    Low temperatures just below sixty

I’m hiking in Friday afternoon or Saturday morning
I will be at Yates Place Campground Friday

It’s been so long since I hammock camped, I’ve forgotten how to set up my rig.
Hope I haven’t forgotten how to make coffee
    Naw naw not gonna happen

Gotta get out in piney woods

I have to back out, unfortunately. Have a funeral to travel to. Bummed I will miss the campfire and telling of lies.

Thanks for the report Phantom. I'll bring some drinking water jugs to Yates to fill up before going in. Last time was an eye opener. Got my pack hooks put on today by my local Aunt B(seamstress) so I wont be chasing my Yeti around all night.
King Gage may or may not be coming with us. His boss is a real nice guy so we'll see how it works out.

He told me on the last hammock outing that his boss is rather ornery…
