Hi folks,

I'm located out here in Montana. Despite growing up in a place known for its outdoor recreation, my parents weren't outdoorsy people so I've had to learn most things on my own. I'm blessed that Shug has put out the in-depth videos that he has.

I've played a lot of ultimate frisbee and disc golf. Taking trips out to tournaments is how I got interested in hammocking! It's nice not sleeping next to snoring/sweaty teammates. Unfortunately, I'm pretty trash at picking out good spots to hang because I either get rained on or have sprinklers malfunction and soak me.

Anyway, I've lurked this forum for a while and appreciate the institutional knowledge that's stored here. Hoping I can contribute to it some day!

Clearly, based on your experiences, you need to re-watch Shug's videos and learn because he never gets wet, never gets cold, never gets sore feet, always has plenty of interesting chow and beverages, and always wears a smile. Even the mosquitoes are known to refrain from biting him.

I'm no stranger to the Bitterroot, especially Bitterroot Brewing. Once I upgrade my hammock situation I'm really hoping to do an overnight in Blodgett.
