    12x12 modified Walmart hammock tarp

Got myself a 12x12 foot camping tarp from wal mart with poles for like $40. All seams where actually taped sealed which surprised me. I added shock cord loops at the ground tie outs so I could use hookworms from Dutch along with my homemade ground stakes. I also undid the seams of the stuffsack, sewed another channel on it and made it into a double ended stuff sack. My ridgeline use to be paracord with my own homemade Wasp tensioner but I wanted something lighter and ended up with a genuine dutchware wasp and zing it ridgeline.

Video of my tarp is here

When you are out there in the woods and in your hammock, the sound of rain drops on your tarp, you in your hammock, and you’re really camping.

That’s a sensation that’s hard to beat, hard to replicate. When there is a will, there is a way!

Nice setup! That doesn't seem so bad. I like your DIY tarp tensioning hardware and such. Great budget kit you put together.

I saw the railroad tracks in the background. Is that an actual railroad, or do you have a Walt Disney style backyard rail line?

Looks like a pretty decent setup at the right price. The Dutchware zingit and wasp setup is pretty nice, i have one of those for my tarp and my sons we still use paracord and Prusik knots for that. Still works well, just not quite as light.
