    NC: Standing Indian Campground

I'm planning to hang at Standing Indian Campground next month. It's in North Carolina, not far from Franklin, NC.

Anyone taken their hammock there? Any suggestions for which sites are particularly hammock friendly?

    Thanks.

Close to where I live. Standing Indian is near the AT and while I have not been to that exact location there are lots of trees there.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Haven’t been but that’s definitely in the forest. Seems like majority of sites are first come so hopefully you could find something good

    Loop?

Are you planning on doing the loop or just up and back? I have thought about doing this one for a bit.

I'm going to be doing some trail work on the AT nearby... Easier to get in the night before when the meetup time is 8:30 a.m.!

That being said... what's the loop route?

    Thanks for the info.
They have some sites that you can reserve in advance, but most are first come. And those seem to be the ones with the most trees.

Been there one time with a scout troop. It's a nice place and hammock friendly.
