I know all dogs are different. Ours was used to tent camping. Now we've switched to hanging. Our hound is too big to fit in a hammock but she gets very upset when we're in our hammocks and she's outside - particularly when we're zipped in the bug netting. We haven't actually hammock camped with her since we started hanging last year. This is just the result of home set-up trials. But we want to do it eventually. And it's looking like a challenge.
One thought is to use our NoBugZone shelter for one hammock. Not ideal but at least our hound would be sheltered from the bugs and we wouldn't need to zip up in the hammock bug net. That's our best concept for a solution so far.
I'm wondering if any of you have dealt with this and how you managed it. Do the dogs eventually adapt to the new system and learn to lay underneath? Is there hope?
There was a learning curve for the tent too but the tent never presented the dog with dreaded separation anxiety.
Cheers and thanks!
