    Question Suggestions UK based

Hi I am new to hammocks - have got hammock and bottom quilt (DD - just need to add some extra attachment loops as hammock isn’t DD) but looking for top quilt - it is not generally cold here in UK (average nighttime temperatures are 35-45 F (although can get colder in extreme nights) it tends to be wet rather than the cold of continental climates. When doing boaty things I usually use a Pertex and pile sleeping bag - Buffalo system (doesn’t get that cold and has advantage of still working even when wet.

so seeking some thoughts on UK available top quilts - Down? Synthetic fill (eg DD quilt) or pile and pertex (not sure if these are available as quilt but would be very easy to fabricate - or my Buffalo Bag left unzipped, but used as quilt, would also work

I would be thankful for peoples thoughts

You can always use the bag you have in top quilt mode whilst you wait and decide.
Enjoy the hammock quest. Can't really help with TQs available over yonder way.

I'm North Yorkshire based so not far from you.

I use a Cumulus 150 quilt, not the hammock specific version (Taiga?) but the "ground" version if you will. Been down to 4/5C with it so fine for UK summer use. I've the Cumulus Selva 250 underquilt to go with it.

Hi. I've got the snugpak top quilt and find it good down to about 4c. Being synthetic it's good in the wet too (handy in Scotland).
