    In all but the hardest ground, place a flat-faced rock or similar under the feet to minimize sink. Setup isn’t complete until you’ve bounced in the hammock a bit to stress test, bed everything in, and then a final re-tensioning. Shouldn’t move after that.

    Absolutely. I realize I forgot to mention we'd finally had a few days of rain before my test. with just the foot on the pole it performed exactly as I'd hoped. Out in the field I'll source a rock or branch, etc as needed.
