"An optimist is a man who plants two acorns and buys a hammock" - Jean de Lattre de Tassigny (French Army General in WWII)
Going to have to pass on this trip (that didn't take long ).
I've been recovering from a rotator cuff injury and was sure that I was past it. I've been doing stretches and light weights.
Tried my backpack with an overnight load and laying in my GE hammock yesterday. At first it seemed fine, but after 10 minutes or so, it started to ache in both situations. At home I sleep on a firm wedge pillow, so I won't roll onto my shoulder. Very frustrating as I recently retired and this has been dogging me for a while now, keeping me from doing some of the things I had planned. Turns out that my kayak is a great dust collector.
I'll keep an eye out for future hangs. Uwharrie is only a little over 2 hours from me. Would like to see it sometime. Hope the weather holds and it's a great hang for you all.

I hate it, but one of my girls ( dogs) is pretty sick and I can't leave her like that.

Does anyone remember any Knock Knock Jokes?
Let me know if there is any interest in Knock Knock Joke Contest for the young and young at heart.
Or have younger campers almost grown up and have graduated beyond knock knock jokes
If we have a knock knock joke contest, it will be good to have some “grownups” also participating.
