Prince William Forest Park
The Park is less than an hour south of DC and hour or so north of Richmond and less than 2 hours from Charlottesville.

Location in the Park
We will be hanging in the Turkey Run Ridge Group Campground. We will be in Group Sites F, H, I. Good news is this site is centrally located in the park so it only half the travel time once you are in the park.

The park has a 1.5" strap requirement but double wrapping the tree counts. Trees must be 6" in diameter. We ask if you have a stand bring it just in case. It may or may not be needed.

Unfortunately Pets are prohibited in the Group Sites

Covid-19 guidelines

We will be encouraging campers to follow to the current guidelines as posted by Virginia. Currently Masks are required in the Buildings. Please observe Social Distancing and respect each others use of masks as they seem fit.

Costs

• There is a $20 fee per car for entering the park. Paid for at the visitor center when you enter the park. or you can pay in advance online HERE
  
• There is a $15 per person fee to cover the cost of the group sites. Please pay Jimbo.
  
• We are looking into getting firewood again. Hopefully the truck doesn't break down again this year. If we do get it arranged, we do ask that you help cover the costs of that separately.

Food
We will resume our group potluck dinner on Saturday evening. See the Sign Up tab

Other notes
We will not be having a raffle.

There are several hiking trails through the park and other things to do.

In years past the temps have ranged from the 20s to 50s. One year we were in shorts. Welcome to VA weather.

There are heated bathrooms within 50 yards of the campsites centrally located between sites H and F.

Can an admin correct the dates in the title to Nov 9-11?

You sure you want to do that, Jimbo? Nov 9-11 is Wed thru Fri. The current dates in the title (Nov 11-13) is Fri thru Sun. Seems like that would be correct unless you are planning a mid-week hang.

Seems to me that you would probably want to change the dates in the body of the message, not the dates in the title.
