Just posting this because for anyone that visits these lakes in the future.

I went on a backpacking trip to the Ansel Adams Wilderness out of Inyo National Forest, July 20-23, 2022. I started at the Agnews Meadow trailhead and spent the night at Ediza Lake, Garnet Lake, and Thousand Island Lake. All of these lakes had suitable trees for hanging a hammock on. Nighttime temps were forecast to be 49-51 F, but were actually 44-46 F. I brought my 20 degree underquilt but could have been fine with my 40 degree underquilt. We had no rain and no clouds so I didn't set my tarp up.

The hard part was trying to find a place for both my hiking partner's tent and my hammock, but we found some spots that worked. Thousand Island Lake required moving a bit away from the lake, but I was still about a minute away from getting water. Not bad at all.

I brought my Banyan bridge hammock (2022 model), beetle buckle and 15' spider/poly straps, and my HG dyneema palace tarp. This was my first trip with the banyan btw, and I LOVED it.
